Tarrazú is located south of the capital and is one of the most respected coffee-growing regions in Costa Rica. The coffee is grown at high altitudes (no less than 4200 feet) and boasts volcanic soil and ideal drainage, contributing to its exceptional quality.
This region's coffee is known for its bright, clean flavor with excellent acidity. You can expect citrus notes, like lemon or orange, and often hints of chocolate, honey, or brown sugar.
